MEET THE BAND
JAN - ED - BRUCE - TREV - CHRIS
Jan "Rock Chick" Maiorana | Vocals
Having a background in Dance and Musical Theatre made for a smooth transition into Singing,
which is one of Jan's greatest passions!
Jan started her Vocal Career as a Back Up Singer for several Perth Bands including "Cats Eye". Jan also provided vocals for local Cover Band Retro Rock which performed at popular venues like The Tradewinds in East Fremantle.
It was only a matter of time before this vocalist cemented her place in the Perth Live Music Scene.
Jan brings her ALL to each and every performance. Her repertoire is vast and she has the versatility to perform many styles. From pop, blues to rock, Jan's abilities never ceases to amaze.
In 2016 Jan was given the opportunity to front local Cover Band 4BELOWZERO. Jan leaped at the opportunity and has since performed at many gigs and venues across WA.
Jan says it "has been such an exciting ride so far, this has been a dream come true!".
We are really excited to see what the future holds for us and with Jan at the helm, the sky is the limit.
We can't wait for you to see Jan unleash her inner Rock Chick!
Ed "Eddy Viper" Maiorana | Drums & Vocals
Eddy Viper began his drumming journey in the early 90s Grunge era. Starting his career with a local Garage Band which quickly formed into the popular group FRANTIK which enabled him to play the Perth Pub Circuit where they were well received & had quite a large following during their active years from 1992-1997.
He since went on successfully to play in such popular local bands as RAMJETT & REVIVE making his seamless transition into Rock Music. Ed has also session recorded with original artist, Josh Ramsay on his Debut LP "PRIMORDIAL".
Over the years these experiences have made their mark on Ed's signature playing style. Ed is now the Drummer of popular local Cover Band 4BELOWZERO and plays everything from Rock, Blues to Pop. Ed has also ventured into offering Vocals for the band.
"Ed is the foundation of our group and we are all the more stronger with him by our side."
Chris speaking of Ed |4BelowZero
Ed brings strong rhythm and sweet beats to the group.
Bruce "Bad Ass Bruce" Poultney | Bass Guitar & Vocals
Bad Ass Bruce The Bass Player. The oldest dog in the band. Started plucking those strings at 15 years old. Bruce has played in too many Garage Bands to remember and had the amazing opportunity to gig and travel around WA. Bruce continued to gig with these bands until his late twenties.
Bruce then took a 30 year hiatus, in this time he has travelled, he found the one and got married, they had kids and have lived happily ever since.
"One day I heard the sweet beats of Eddie Viper drumming and the B... B... Bass Beats took me back".
Bruce was hooked again, line and sinker.
Bad Arsed Bruce has returned to the call of the stage and is the Bad Arsed Bass Player of 4BELOWZERO and ignites the stage with his brooding bass riffs.
Trev "Skinner" Geiles | Lead Guitar
An established musician, Trev has been playing lead guitar in a range of bands since the age of 15. He moved to the country for 22 years and returned to Perth in 2013. His life in the country allowed him to play with outstanding musicians whose talents were recognised in Perth and internationally.
Trev has played in Duos, Trios, Pub Bands and a Swing/Jazz Band. He has played in range of music festivals, private functions, tourist and charity events. Trev has performed in many pubs along the turquoise coast of WA from Perth to Geraldton and in the wheatbelt. He has also played session guitar for musicians and has supported a number of artists in music festivals. Trev played in a support band for Darren Reid and the Soul City Groove and various Corporate Tribute Bands.
His current project is with 4BelowZero.
Trev is his greatest critic, and as a musician, he is driven by his belief that “for every goal achieved,
another is set”.
Trev enjoys being in the backlight, but his Guitar cuts through the mix like Valerian Steel.
Christopher "Noodles" Joyce | Keys & Vocals
Christopher is the newest member of 4BelowZero. He has been performing for the last 25 years and has
graced the stage in front of thousands over his young career. A seasoned performer Christopher has supported
some great artists over the years including Victor Young and Daryl Somers as well as having the amazing opportunity of opening the Fremantle Maritime Museum with the then Premier, The Honourable, Dr Geoff
Gallop which featured on SBS World.
Christopher recently returned from a whirlwind tour of Europe where he had the opportunity to perform at the Red Garter in Florence, Tuscany and also on the Greek Isles along the Mediterranean Sea. If there is a stage, Christopher will be on it! Christopher lives for the spotlight. Music is his life and he can’t wait to bring his Soulful Vocals and Groovy Grooves to a stage near you.
Why Noodles?: Christopher's arch nemesis is CABLING! He can often be found with a mass of cabling that resembles a big bowl of noodles around his station that just won't cooperate. Chris is waiting for reliable wireless technology until then, he will be known as 'Noodles'.
Christopher believes that music has the power to change the world for the better. "Music is my life and I want to
share my passion and my spirit to help better the lives of many, through my music.”
'Noodles' has fast fingers and killer vocals, this kid is a 'Skilled Song Assassin'!
